Ping Bristol launched on Thursday 18th July 2013, and runs until the end of August. We took the whole HLD team out, down to College Green in the centre of Bristol for a few games and a few beers.
We played a whole host of nationalities - French, Spanish, and even a couple of students from Kazakhstan, who were by far the best we played against. There was a distinct lack of interest from the locals, which was a shame.
We were pleased to find the bats were in place, but the balls had all gone. Thankfully we came well prepared with a couple of boxes, which we left with the tables once we had finished.
This year's Ping events are being held in 9 different locations around the UK, with over 500 tables in public places, for everyone to "Stop and Play".
