Maintaining the Ideal Humidity:
Due to the nature of a shuffleboard's wooden construction it is important that the right humidity is maintained to ensure it plays perfectly and the playing surface doesn’t twist or warp. To maintain the right humidity for the optimum conditions for your shuffleboard we recommend the use of a humidifier - please see a photograph of the model we recommend for commercial environments, which covers an area of up to 100 square metres.
The hygrometer, also pictured, can be used to check the levels. Your shuffleboard should be kept between 35% and 55% humidity. We can advise on what would be required for your particular environment. Using a hygrometer to check the existing levels would be the first step, before investing in a humidifier if necessary.

European Version:
We are able to supply Hudson shuffleboards in one of two versions: the Standard American version, which has a flatter playing surface, or the European version, which has a more concave set-up. This style has proven highly popular in European commercial locations, with players preferring to play on this version to the standard American one.
The benefit of the more concave European set-up is that the puck’s direction and ultimate finishing point can be better controlled, particularly when trying to aim around a pack of pucks in the centre of the playfield. Players with greater skill enjoy this level of control, but players who are new to the game also find it more likely that they will keep the puck on the playing surface and out of the gutters at the edges.

Polish/Wax:
For light repairs, this polish/wax easily restores a bright beautiful shine to your shuffleboard table, while polishing out most scratches, even on very worn finishes. These are sold in sets of 6 bottles (16oz each).

Availability:
This item may be available from stock, in which case it will be dispatched immediately. If not, it will be made to order and can take from 6 to 13 weeks to be manufactured and shipped from the USA. Once it has arrived to our warehouse, our delivery team will contact you to arrange a delivery date.

Pricing: please note these products are sourced from the US and are now subject to a new import tariff of 25% imposed by the EU from orders shipped after 10th November 2020. Your new shuffleboard will be professionally handled by one of our fully insured specialist two man delivery teams. It will be placed in a ground floor room of your choice, and all packaging removed.
Our team will professionally level the shuffleboard and show you how to do so yourself, as this is something you will need to do throughout the life of shuffleboard table. They have years of experience, and will be able to answer any questions about the care and use of your table to ensure you get the very best from your new purchase. You will be left with a perfectly installed shuffleboard, ready to play the first frame of many.

It is possible to deliver and install the shuffleboard to a location with difficult access - loft conversions, basements, upstairs, downstairs, up and down steep slopes etc - but this will be at an extra cost.
