Qualifying for credit - things you will need
- You must be over 18 years of age
- Must be employed at least 16 hours per week, self-employed, retired in receipt of a pension or receiving disability payments.
- Must be a permanent UK resident with at least 3 years UK address history.
- Must have a good credit history with no late payments, debt relief orders, CCJs, IVAs or bankruptcies.
- Must have an active valid email address

How much can I borrow?
When going through the checkout, just fill out etika Finance's easy online application form and you can be approved for up to £25,000 to use for the product you wish to purchase. Use our Calculator to determine how much you can spend based on your monthly payments.
Is A Deposit Required?
We now offer finance which doesn't require a deposit, though we do offer the option to place a 10% deposit if you wish to do so.
How Are My Monthly Payments Made?
All monthly payments are paid by direct debit from your personal bank account.
With any interest free credit agreement, typically the first payment will be due one month after the date of delivery and subsequent monthly payments will be due every month for the length of your term on that day of the month.
With any interest bearing credit agreement, your first repayment date is confirmed during etika’s online application. Typically the first payment will be due between 4 and 8 weeks after the agreement is signed at the point of order. Please bear in mind in some instances this will be prior to delivery. Subsequent monthly payments will be due every month for the length of your term on that day of the month.
What Type Of Product Can I Buy On Finance?
Anything on our website which is marked showing that it is available on Interest Free Credit (0% APR) or Low Monthly Payments (12.9% APR). Selected items under £500 are available with Low Monthly Payments (19.9% APR) with a 6 month loan repayment period.
What Length Of Repayment Is Available?
We can offer 12, 24, 36 or 48 month loan repayment period for interest bearing credit, or 6, 10, 12 18 months for interest free credit on selected products. Selected items under £500 are available on interest bearing credit with a 6 month loan repayment period.
How Do I Apply?
You can apply on our website, simply follow the checkout process and select “Apply For Finance”, you can also call our Sales Team on 0145 451 3171 who will help you through the process.
Can I Pay Off My Loan Early?
You can settle your loan agreement at any time without penalty. Simply log into your etika account (https://portal.gb.etika.com/) to manage your agreement or contact etika Finance and they will talk you through this. Your settlement figure and date are calculated in line with the Consumer Credit Act.
Can I apply for finance in the showroom?
Yes you can. Just bring along your chip and PIN enabled VISA or Mastercard credit or debit card, which we will verify and take your deposit from.
What happens if I am moving house?
If you require delivery to a different address, please get in touch with our Sales Team on 0145 451 3171 who will need to complete additional checks prior to confirming whether the delivery can take place.
Can I cancel my credit agreement if I change my mind?
There is a 14-day cooling off period where you can withdraw from the credit agreement after signing your documents. If you wish to do this please contact Home Leisure Direct. There is no need to contact etika.
Paying by finance with etika does not affect Home Leisure Direct’s standard T&C’s and returns policy.
